The garden is coming around...

So I've been really busy between the new homestead property being built up (you should check out the Youtube videos my husband is doing on those, like this one.  It's definitely a slow and steady process when you're not only trying to do it all debt free, but also still maintaining another household and both self-employed.

The garden is sometimes my focus when I begin feeling overwhelmed by it all--

It's come a long way from last season's garden. We are doing a lot of succession planting to try to maximize our harvests. Never know when we're going to have to solely depend upon our own food sources for a while, so may as well get that jump start!

Meet Millie and Goose!

Millie and Goose are siblings from the same litter of Australian Cattle Dogs (Blue Heelers), and they are full siblings of the other Aussies in our pack, Friday and Cosmo.  They are 8 weeks old in this video, and they are every bit Heeler and lap dog at the same time!

They are both named for pilots! Millie is short for Amelia, as in "Earhart", and Goose is named after a pilot in the movie "TopGun".

Moving: First Wave

 As you can see, we haven't even scratched the surface of all the "stuff" we have amassed, even after downsizing from a 3700 sq ft house with 5 bedrooms to a 1750 sq ft house with 3 bedrooms.

 Who knew our son had so much stuff also?

Having two residences poses its own set of challenges, and now we are in the process of starting a different homestead...from scratch.
This is going to be very interesting.
